Behind the StrengthClinic schedule update
Starting in September 2026, I will hold a Friday afternoon clinic at Cheng Te Hospital. My clinic schedule at Taichung Veterans General Hospital will also change in October. Here is what is changing and why.

My clinic at Taichung Veterans General Hospital is close to capacity. As patient numbers have grown, some people have had to wait from morning until evening just to review test results. I know that is a long wait, and it has been a concern for me.
I have been looking for a way to see more patients while preserving enough time to understand each person's concerns, complete the evaluation, and discuss the next step. Offering appointments at two hospitals will help distribute that demand.
Cheng Te Hospital offers an additional option for patients whose conditions are stable, who need ongoing follow-up, or who find it difficult to travel to Taichung Veterans General Hospital because of where they live, transportation, or mobility limitations. At Cheng Te, I will provide evaluations and follow-up care for orthopedic, spine, and joint conditions. If surgery is needed, it will still be arranged at Taichung Veterans General Hospital, where patients will receive surgical and inpatient care.
This should make follow-up visits more convenient for some patients while allowing more appointment capacity at Taichung Veterans General Hospital for further testing, surgical assessments, and complex care.
Starting in October 2026, my Taichung Veterans General Hospital clinic sessions will be on Monday and Thursday mornings.
If you usually see me in the afternoon, please do not worry. Although these are listed as morning sessions, I usually continue seeing patients into the late afternoon or evening, unless a meeting or official duty requires me to finish earlier. The way the clinic operates will remain much the same.
I will continue to care for patients who need the resources of Taichung Veterans General Hospital. Cheng Te Hospital provides another option for stable conditions and ongoing follow-up. I hope this arrangement makes visits more convenient while allowing me to maintain the standard of care I want to provide.
